Do you want to be a part of a new, hotspot that will stir things up in the Amsterdam night scene?
Because we are currently looking for a passionate, motivated and strong Bar Manager to join one of our brand new teams. One of our newest addition: Do Not Disturb will be hidden in the heart of Amsterdam city. Your job as the DND Bar Manager will be to ensure that our signature 360-degree bar: the beating heart of the space, runs smoothly on a daily basis and to lead the team by example. Our ideal candidate is driven and experienced in the nightlife/lounge operations, has a great knowledge of cocktails, spirits, champagne and creating sales in a late night environment.
Furthermore, as a Bar Manager, you will play a key role in providing sensational experiences for our guests, to make sure they have the night of their lives.
Responsibilities
- Recruiting of staff members
- Training of current staff and new team members
- Managing your team and constantly raising the bar
- Take full responsibility for the operations of the DND bar
- To strive to anticipate guests needs wherever possible and to react to these to enhance guests satisfaction
- Main contact with suppliers
- Keeping up to date with licensing legislation and taking legal responsibility for the premises
- Enforcing health and safety rules
- Be responsible for ensuring the perfect of every drink every time to minimize waste
- Maintain high standards of quality, hygiene, health and safety for all employees and guests
- Deal with customer complaints by following the correct procedure
- Team spirit
Requirements
- A demonstrable passion for the nightlife scene, with a good working knowledge of spirits and cocktails
- You have an eye for detail
- Exceptional customer care skills
- Fluent speaking, writing in English
- Strong management skills
- Empathy for your colleagues
- Ability to work under pressure
- Aim to deliver excellent presentation skills
- HACCP food hygiene certificate and SVH mentor diplomas are a plus
- Organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
- Active listening and effective communication skills
